It is what it says on the tin: apple blossoms! Of course, I didn't find these just anywhere... I came upon them while following the old Isle Royale railroad, while in search of remnants of the Isle Royale and Huron mines south of Houghton. While I wasn't very successful on the mines, I did enjoy a lovely hike on a warm and bright late spring day.

I'm a sucker for a great flower shot. I never get tired of looking at the details, and apple blossoms are one of my favorites....:)
Wow, talk about intense colors:) The sky is a very odd color; did you play around with saturation? Gorgeous flowers. They look too perfect to be real.
@Sarah: Thanks! This was shot at 1/800 sec, f/9, ISO 200 (with my Nikon D40x and 18-200mm lens at 120mm). I also had a good quality polarizer on it, for that deep blue.
@LisaNewton: Thanks too! There are TONS of wild apple trees around here -- usually in abandoned mining townsites.
@Summer: The sky (and the other intense colors) are due to the polarizer I was using -- it really worked well. I also used a fill flash, which gave some weird shadows on the flowers.
