Yes, it really did look this way -- the clouds moved in just after the sun dipped below the horizon, and really caught the last brilliant rays.

I didn't place this here myself, but someone decided to "tag" the old Centennial #6 rockhouse in a surprisingly insightful way.

I'm tempted to look for similar things at other well-preserved ruins, but I have no idea if I'll find them.
