Purple flowers somehow survive on the bare basalt at Seven Mile Point -- a rugged and beautiful nature preserve on the Lake Superior shore.
This is a fantastic shot. The flowers just draw me into the view up the shore.
Thanks very much! It was rather tricky to take this photo, since I was practically upside down, hanging off of some other rocks... many feet above the lake.
Captivating! It's good to see that such beautiful flowers can grow in a place like this.
